Apr 12, 2012Defence has finalised the inquiry into the death of Sapper Jamie Larcombe in Afghanistan on 19 February 2011.Apr 3, 2012Minister for Defence Materiel Jason Clare today announced that 38 howitzer guns will be preserved at RSLs and historical organisations around Australia.
RSL organisations, Vietnam Veterans Associations and historical organisations were exclusively offered the opportunity to tender for the Howitzers in August 2011 through a Request for Offer (RFO).

"Welcome to the Patriots Australia Moreton Bay Chapter website!
I hope you enjoy checking out our website and if you like what you see.. Why not pop down to the clubrooms on a Friday night, as we have a licensed bar?
We would really enjoy a visit from any fellow Veteran and/or Motorcycle Enthusiast !!!

Patriots Australia Inc is a Military Motorcycle Club for regular, reserve and ex-serving members of the Defence Force (Navy, Army & Air Force).
The Patriots Australia Moreton Bay Chapter membership is 100% Serving and Ex-Serving Military Members.
P.M.B. has many proud supporters who all enjoy catching up for social get together's & rides when ever possible !
P.M.B. are a very easy going chapter and as such we do our best to encourage our membership to bring along their families to our functions as often as possible.
We aim to do our best to try and assist the Veteran & Moreton Bay community through donations and charitable opportunities when ever possible.
Our current members reside within the following areas; Brisbane & surrounding suburbs, North & South Coast - South East Queensland as well as reaching out as far north as Tin Can Bay & Blackwater and south west as Toowoomba.
We hold our monthly meetings at our clubrooms which are situated in the suburb of Redcliffe. Our meetings are normally held on the first Saturday of each month starting from 1630hrs and upon conclusion we have a great feed and spend the rest of the night catching up with each other. For those that have traveled a fair distance or who would prefer to make a night of it, camping is available at the Redcliffe Showgrounds, bookings via the on site Grounds Manager.
We have a minimum of one ride per month, sometimes it's a day ride and sometimes an overnighter !?
We make sure that we catch up with other Patriots Australia and Vietnam Veterans MC chapters within our corner of Australia on a regular basis !
Whenever possible we also attend shows and rallies hosted by other clubs.
Enquiries from prospective members are always welcome, or if you just want to meet a bunch of easy going people to ride & hang out with on an informal basis... then please make contact with our Chapter Secretary?
